- 407 Low-Density is a blended microballoon-based fairing filler for WEST SYSTEM Epoxy.
- Add 407 to a mixture of epoxy resin/hardener to create a fairing putty.
- Blended with epoxy to a “peanut butter” consistency, it will be easy to fair.
- Cures to a dark red/brown color.

- 410 Microlight is the ideal low-density filler.
- When blended with epoxy, it creates a light, easily-worked epoxy fairing compound.
- Especially suited for fairing large areas.
- After epoxy thickened with 410 cures, it is about 30% easier to sand than most other epoxy-based fairing compounds.
- Not recommended for use under dark paint, or other surfaces subject to high temperatures.

Brand West System Material Epoxy Resin, Resin Compatible Material Fiberglass Item Form Paste Color off-white - THIS BLEND OF FINE FIBERS thickens mixed epoxy resin and hardener to create a multi-purpose adhesive. Its most popular use is for bonding wood. Epoxy thickened with microfibers has good gap-filling qualities but will still do an excellent job of wetting-out/penetrating into wood fibers. Use it to thicken any WEST SYSTEM Epoxy including 105 Resin-based epoxies, G/flex or G/5. Blended with epoxy, it will cure to an off-white color.
- THICKEN EPOXY with this high-density filler to make a non-slumping adhesive that will bridge large gaps. It will strongly bond wood joints, saving you the time and labor involved in crafting tight joinery.
- FOR MAXIMUM STRENGTH add only enough filler to completely bridge gaps between surfaces without sagging or running out of the joint or gap. A small amount should squeeze out of the joints when clamped. For thick mixtures, don’t fill the mixing cup more than 1/3 full of epoxy before adding filler.
- THE AMOUNT OF FILLER you add controls epoxy's viscosity. There is no strict formula, just use your eye to judge what consistency will work best for the job at hand. The chart below offers guidelines to the differences between neat (unthickened) epoxy and three popular consistencies of thickened epoxy: "catsup," "mayonnaise," and "peanut butter."
- FOR CONSISTENCY across a project that calls for several batches of epoxy that's thickened to the same degree, you can create your own epoxy/filler "recipe." Carefully measure the amount of filler you add to the first epoxy batch until it reaches the viscosity you need, keeping track of the total amount you've added. Mix the same amounts of resin, hardener, and filler for the remaining batches so they all have the same viscosity.
